Productivity:

What Brian and I spent our day doing. I must say, it feels wonderful! It seems our Saturdays are usually spent catching up on sleep and on Netflix, but today we were determined to shorten our to-do list. And please no judgments... I've been so new to this full-time job thing, that once Saturday hits, I don't want to do ANYTHING. But I guess I realized that one thing worse than another busy day, is a to-do list that's as tall as I am. So like I said, it feels great to have been productive!
One thing I'm super happy about is that we purchased a functioning washing machine today! I'm listening to the sweet, sweet sound of a laundering load as I type. The machine we had for the past four months was a total loser of a washing machine and gave us much more trouble than it was worth. But it is now in the past and I can finally get our laundry "basket" cleared out. This "basket" of which I speak is the extra bedroom. No joke. It's filled with dirty clothes. Again, no judgments. It's hard to do laundry when your washing machine doesn't drain and when the laundromat costs more than just buying a new machine. Right? Right? Right.
Anyways, let me share with you something strange that happened tonight. Brian and I were going to eat at the Cougareat to take advantage of his 50% off card that he has for being an employee there (since he's no longer an employee there and we only have until the end of April to use it!), but all the restaurants were closed. So then we were like, oh no, what are we going to eat now? Then I decided we would eat at McDonalds--not only because we had McDonalds cash, but also because I thought it sounded good! I know, it's so crazy. And no, I am not pregnant. I just randomly started craving a Bigmac, and let me tell you, it did satisfy.
Well, I'll stop boring the two or three people who read my blog and go finish my day with a well-deserved, unproductive episode of 24. Happy Saturday, everyone!

P.S.- One day I'd like to post about my wedding with some of our lovely pictures, but I need a big chunk of time for that. So for now, I'll provide this link to Jeanna Hayes' blog. She has a post dedicated to mine and Brian's formals! I feel so very honored. Do enjoy, and feel free to look at all of her work. I think she is absolutely fantastic.

  1. Yay for washers. If there is one key to marital bliss (and who knows if there is), it's a functioning washer. Nothing heals the hurt nor suaves the soul more than the thought of fresh, clean laundry. Or, as the French say it, "lingerie propre et fraiche."
